The Government is coming under mounting pressure from business to reverse its decision to introduce value added tax next year. In the past few weeks several deputations representing business and the professions have held talks about VAT with the Governor and TCIG Chief Financial Officer Hugh Mcgarel Groves. They fear its introduction could spell disaster for the economy. Now the Providenciales Chamber of Commerce has weighed in with a strong attack upon the plan to introduce VAT.
